Since 2009, Headless Hydra Games have published a lot of different products, some generic (like the first Mor Aldenn pdfs), even more products in support of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and then a “couple” of clip art and map pack products.
The first HHG products were… full of flaws to say the least. I shall be the first to admit that, but they were also quite cheap, so I don’t feel too bad about selling them. I have built on those since then and expanded the Mor Aldenn, City of Mages campaign setting and last year, december 2011, we finally published the final Mor Aldenn Setting Guide. This product I am extremely proud of. It is 167 pages long, but to celebrate those who believed in the Mor Aldenn project in the beginning, costs only $9.99. I call that a steal, but I don’t feel too bad about it, afterall, I really want people to read the setting guide and get to know the City of Mages.
Because we do this because we love it and not for the money, we have also published a series of free pdfs over the years. Some of these include the two adventures, At the Heart of Evil and Death in the Spindlewood Marsh.
Below you’ll find a list of Headless Hydra Games products, starting with those I am most proud of.
Mor Aldenn Setting Guide: A complete campaign setting guide for the Pathfinder roleplaying game, detailing the City of Mages. This guide is complete with new options for players (races, a base class, feats, magic items, spells etc.) and lots of information for the GM as well. Also includes an introductory adventure by Ron Lundeen and a shortstory by Jason Kimble.
Moon’s Folly: A small city supplement connected to the Mor Aldenn setting, fully Pathfinder compatible, that presents an overview of the town called Moon’s Folly. Inside you’ll also find new character traits, feats, equipment and even a new monster called the Stiltskin. Written by Ron Lundeen.
The Haunting of Soldragon Academy: A Pathfinder compatible adventure, written by Ron Lundeen. This is a mystery/investigation adventure that pits the players against anything from giants, to a ghost, hags and even a horde of annoying children! This adventure takes place within and outside Mor Aldenn.
Wreck of the Keening Crone: A new Mor Aldenn adventure from Ron Lundeen. This one involves a wild ride up the Spindleflow looking for a treasure hidden deep within the wreck of the Keening Crone. This adventure also introduces something called Haste Points, to track the outcome of future events.
Mor Aldenn Creature Compendium: A creature compendium of 21 new monsters for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Among the creatures you can find the dreaded hag spider (from the cover) the mischievious marsh dragon and portune.
Eldritch Secrets: A spell compendium featuring more than 280 spells for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. This book also presents a few new monsters, feats and magic items. The spells are even available for the new classes from the Advanced Player’s Guide. Also, this book was a community project, where people from the Paizo messageboards could submit spells. This is volume 1, and someday I hope to publish a second volume.
Gaiants Discovered: A new Pathfinder supplement that presents the players with a new race called gaiants. These are reclusive fey-giants with a strong tie to magic. In this pdf you’ll also find alternative racial traits, new spells, racial feats, magic items and even a couple of named and generic NPCs for the GM. Written by Thomas Baumbach and Dean Siemsen.
15 Specific Weapons, Vol I: This is a new line of short pdfs that tries to bring magical options to the unusual weapons in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Here you’ll find magical falchions, kukris, chakrams, hand crossbows and many more. There is also a single magic weapon special ability and a new spell.
15 Specific Weapons, Vol II: This is a new line of short pdfs that tries to bring magical options to the unusual weapons in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Here you’ll find many different magical weapons. This is the second volume in the line.
The Clockworker: This is a new base class for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, detailing a summoner type who uses clockwork beasts instead. The Clockworker is intended for use with the Mor Aldenn setting, but can be used for any setting ,really. It comes with a series of spells as well.
Revised Mor Aldenn Map Pack: This is the newest (updated) Mor Aldenn map, in full colour. The map pack allows you to create the map that you want to use. It also includes a colour map of the ley lines in and around Mor Aldenn. This map was created by the amazing Andrew Law. If you buy the Mor Aldenn setting, you get a free colour version of this map, but only if you buy it from RPGNow.com.
An Extended Player’s Guide to Mor Aldenn: The first of many Mor Aldenn products in the making… fully Pathfinder compatible. This pdf presents you with an overview of the City of Mages, as well as the mechanics to play a centaur and a new rogue archetype: the Street Magician.
