About Headless Hydra Games

Headless Hydra Games

WELCOME to the blog and home of HEADLESS HYDRA GAMES!

Headless Hydra Games (sometimes called HHG) is a small-press publishing company run and founded by K. Axel Carlsson. We use freelance writers and artists to make our products and is always looking for new (and old) talent. You can find a (complete?) list of freelancers that have worked (and work) for HHG below.

Headless Hydra Games supports the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game through their campaign setting – Mor Aldenn, City of Mages. To date, we have published products like Moon’s Folly, The Ugly Harpy, Mor Aldenn Creature Compendium and, of course, the big Mor Aldenn Setting Guide (which was published in December 2011). But you can also find more generic products, like the Gaiants Discovered or even the big spell compendium called Eldritch Secrets.

Originally, Mor Aldenn was not created to make a profit, but to create a living community that would (hopefully) get a life of its own. It started out on a blog of its own, Mor Aldenn – City of Mages. Everyone, of course, is welcome to submit ideas to the campaign setting, either by contacting HHG (see below) or by replying to this blog.

Afterall, what is a setting without players and what is an author without his readers??

Besides Pathfinder products, Headless Hydra Games tries to bring maps to GMs and clip art to publishers.

Headless Hydra Games will always try to support newcomers trying to break into the business, whether they are writers, editors, graphic designers or artists. All you have to do, is contact us. I can make no guarantees, though.
